Shortenills and Shortenills Abbey

Shortenills and Shortenills Abbey are our SEMH schools for students from Year 7 to 11 with social, emotional mental health needs. We believe that students with these needs can benefit hugely from both nurture and nature. Both sites offer a loving and nurturing environment, with caring staff and complimentary, bespoke systems in place to benefit the students on a daily basis.

Consultations for placements at Shortenills and Shortenills Abbey

Shortenills and Shortenills Abbey are only for students with (EHCP) Educational Health and Care Plans for SEMH needs. 

All consultations for Shortenills and Shortenills Abbey must come to us from the Local Authority. We do not take referrals directly from schools or parents/carers.

Once a consultation has been received and we believe we can meet the young person's needs, we will be in contact to arrange a tour of one of our schools.  For the benefit and well-being of the young people we support we are unable to offer school visits to parents/carers prior to this time.
