Class Teaching Assistant and Intervention Support Chesham

Overview

We are looking for an exceptional individual to be part of our Class Teaching Assistant Team at CSEC Alternative Provision school. We want to find someone who is fun and caring, who is interested in implementing trauma-informed practices, and who will really enjoy working with our vulnerable, sometimes challenging and often wonderful young people.

Our Teaching Assistants work in the classroom, supporting the students to access their learning and enabling them to develop positive behaviours, attitudes and aspirations to help either reintegrate back into mainstream school or support progress into further education. You may also work one to one with a student or a small group of students as part of learning interventions.

Personal attributes

Our ideal candidate might already have experience in this kind of setting, or you might have worked with young people with SEMH difficulties in mainstream, residential or other settings. Our approach at Aspire is to find applicants with the right attitude and personality and we will train you to work with our team to ensure all students are supported and able to achieve.  

We are looking for someone who is creative and resilient. You will need to be happy to do whatever it takes to ensure that we meet our aims of ensuring that all children make great progress academically as well as with their social, emotional and/or mental health difficulties.  

Salary & Benefits

Support staff pay range 2-4, term time only .

Actual pay for 39 weeks £21,100 to £26,959 per annum according to experience.
